The Full Story
Psyche & Cycle
WHO ARE WE?
Psyche and Cycle is a team of like-minded, devoted women who are committed to raising awareness for PMDD and helping break down the stigma associated with menstrual disorders with time, effort, and genuine care. Most importantly, we are dedicated to increasing the research conducted in this field in order to find the cause and a cure to this serious, chronic disorder and better the lives of those dealing with it currently.
The Mission.
Psyche & Cycle’s primary mission is to eradicate stigma around PMDD and other menstrual disorders and empower all women to feel confident and receive the help they deserve, therefore inspiring future generations of women leaders to create a world of inclusion and security.
The Vision.
Psyche & Cycle’s primary vision is a world where women are no longer ashamed of their own menstrual health. We see a world where individuals with PMDD are diagnosed and receive proper support earlier. We see a world where women's physical and mental health is a priority in medicine.
MEET THE TEAM
Co-Founder Anjali Srinivasan Hi everyone! I'm studying computational biology at the University of Pittsburgh. As someone who struggled with menstrual stigma and mental health issues when younger, I was inspired to be part of the change that empowers women to love themselves. I could not be happier to lead such a great cause! | The Psyche & Cycle Team Meet our wonderful, dedicated team that constantly works hard to put forth their best effort and do what they love best. | Co-Founder Laasya Pedapati Hi! I’m studying Biology on the pre-medicine track at New Jersey Institute of Technology! I personally have struggled with PMDD symptoms and painful periods and dealt with the stigma surrounding menstruation as a whole. I was inspired to begin Psyche and Cycle, because I desire a reality where women can freely speak of their struggles regarding their health without judgement. |

Im currently planning on studying Psychology on the pre medicine track at Rutgers University New Brunswick! I was excited to develop the Psyche & Cycle team to eradicate the stigma surrounding women’s menstrual cycle and provide guidance and support to all of those who are struggling. By doing so I hope to raise awareness and help younger generations grow up in a more inclusive environment. | Co-Founder Pranamya Rangaraju Hi everybody! I’m currently a junior in South Fayette High School, but I’m planning to major in Biology. As a high schooler, I know that menstrual health is not talked about enough, so I wanted to start Psyche and Cycle to spread awareness about various aspects of women health. I want to make sure that no one feels like they are alone, and to create a safe environment for women to speak freely about their menstrual health. |
